SC ex-judge to probe train mishap
NEW DELHI, Aug 5 — The government today instituted a commission of inquiry to be headed by a retired Supreme Court judge into Monday’s train accident at Gaisal and asked the NF Railway General Manager to immediately go on leave while suspending five other senior officers.

10 Pak soldiers killed on LoC
NEW DELHI, Aug 5 — At least 10 Pakistani soldiers were killed and an Indian Army Major injured along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector today in heavy exchange of fire involving mortars and rockets.

NEW DELHI, Aug 5 — The Wadhwa Commission, which probed the gruesome murder of an Australian missionary Graham Staines and his two sons in Orissa in January, is understood to have ruled out the involvement of any Hindu outfit in the crime.
