|Discovery docks with ISS
HOUSTON, Texas, May 29 (AFP) The US space shuttle Discovery succeeded today in making its first orbital linkup with the international space station (ISS), said the National Aeronautics and Space Administration here. Discovery docked with ISS at 11:24 p.m. local time yesterday (0424 GMT today), deploying two tunnels that will allow the seven-member crew to move freely between the two spacecraft while they are joined for the next six days. The linkup went without a hitch with Rominger overseeing the delicate manoeuvre.
