Major jolt to BJP in Bihar
Outer Manipur with NCP, Cong retains Dhubri
NEW DELHI, Nov 2 — The Congress, the CPM, the Janata Dal (United) and an Independent shared honours in the October 28 Lok Sabha elections in Bihar as Mr Abdul Hamid of the Congress won the Dhubri seat in Assam and the Nationalist Congress Party annexed the Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency.

Power package for Haryana
NEW DELHI, Nov 2 — The Centre today announced several measures to resolve the power crisis in Haryana, including enhancing the power share for the state from 19 per cent to 27 per cent from the unallocated power of the Northern Grid.

COLOMBO, Nov 2 — Tamil Tiger rebels today claimed to have overran a military complex at Oddusudan, north of Mankulam, and killed hundreds of Sri Lankan soldiers in heavy fighting that lasted nine hours.
