Goa Government reduced to
minority

11 Cong MLAs split party
PANAJI, Nov 19 — The five-month old Congress government in Goa was tonight reduced to minority, with 24 of the 40 members in the Assembly deciding to extend support to Mr Francisco Sardinha, who revolted against "divide and rule policy" of Chief Minister Luizino Faleiro.

Police remand for Sharif
ISLAMABAD, Nov 19 — Deposed Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, facing charges of treason, attempted murder and hijacking, was today remanded in police custody for three days by an anti-terrorist court in Karachi in his first public appearance since being ousted in a coup on October 12.
