Eleven person, including eight of a family, were
killed, and four injured in an explosion which brought
down half of a haveli (mansion) at Amwara village in
Sawaimadhopur district yesterday, the police said today.
While two bodies were

haveli was still to be traced, they said.
Thakur Durga Singh was
away when the explosion occurred turning his age-old
haveli into rubble, the police said.

eight women of the family and three servants occupying
the main section of the ancient haveli, the police said.
A team of forensic

lying underground had caught fire, a police report said.
The injured have been
admitted to hospital.
Five domestic animals
including a camel, also perished in the powerful
explosion, the police added.
