Govt not to delete Rajiv's name
NEW DELHI, Nov 29 — The Centre today rejected the Congress demand to delete the name of late Rajiv Gandhi from the Bofors charge sheet on a day when the party held a mass rally in the Capital on the issue.

Walkout over insurance Bill
NEW DELHI, Nov 29 — Members of Left parties, the Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Janata Dal today staged a walkout in the both Houses of Parliament in protest against the government’s proposal to move the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority Bill, that provides for private participation in the sector.

ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 — An anti-terrorism court today barred former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and others charged with treason and hijacking as also the government from making political statements and allowed the deposed premier and a co-defendant better prison facilities.

Ganguly to be PGI acting Director
CHANDIGARH, Nov 29 — The Union Health Ministry has appointed Prof N.K. Ganguly, Director-General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), as acting Director of the PGI, Chandigarh, it is reliably learnt. He will take over his assignment tomorrow when the term of the present incumbent, Dr B.K. Sharma expires.
