Dal Khalsa denounces violence
AMRITSAR, Oct 26 — The Dal Khalsa, which remained an outlawed outfit for a decade (from May 1982 to May 1992) has decided to denounce all types of violence in its revised constitution and policy programme to be released in the beginning of the new millennium.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 — Deposed Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, along with several other senior functionaries of the previous government will face charges of "high treason" and "sedition" as per a formal complaint lodged with the police in Karachi, it was reported today.

CHANDIGARH, Oct 26 — Taking a serious view of the reported indulgence in criminal activities and gross misconduct and behaviour unbecoming of a public servant, the Punjab Government today suspended Mr Sandeep Goel, Deputy Superintendent of Police (City), Ludhiana, along with one Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, one Head Constable and five constables.
