        defends letter to PMNEW DELHI,
        April 29  A day after removal as Vice-President of
        the Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr Madan Lal Khurana was
        defiant today saying his letter to the Prime Minister, Mr
        Atal Behari Vajpayee, questioning the thrust of the
        governments economic policies was in tune with the
        RSS and the BJPs stand on these issues.

         The Supreme Court has struck out the order of the
        Punjab and Haryana High Court on the method and criteria
        to be followed for the selection of candidates for
        admission to post graduate degree and diploma course in
        medicine from amongst the Haryana Civil Medical Service.

        April 29  India and China today decided that the
        Joint Working Group (JWG) on boundary question will meet
        as frequently as required. The decision was taken at the
        12th meeting of the JWG, which met for two days in the
        capital.
