NLFT on killing spree, toll 45
AGARTALA, May 21 — National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) guerrillas gunned down seven more persons today taking the death toll to 45 in the ethnic and militant violence in the West district during the past 24 hours.

Airlift forces, CM urges PM
NEW DELHI, May 21 — Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today met Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and urged him to airlift paramilitary forces to the state which has been rocked by ethnic and militant violence.

Rebels tell President to quit
Threat to kill hostages
SUVA, May 21 — Fiji’s President said today that gunmen holding the country’s Prime Minister and other politicians captive had threatened to start killing their hostages unless he quit as Head of State.
According to Fiji radio, Mr Chaudhry has agreed to resign and will soon be released by his captors.
