India lodges strong protest with Pak
NEW DELHI, Sept 5 — India has taken the gravest view of the molestation of minor daughters of staff members of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan by an intruder on September 2 and has questioned the role of Pakistani intelligence officials in the incident.

Mayor case: 3 get death penalty
MUMBAI, Sept 5 — an ISI agent and two members of the Chhota Shakeel gang were today sentenced to death after being found guilty of an attempt to kill former Mumbai Mayor Milind Vaidya last year in which three bystanders were killed and eight injured.

Lawyer held in assault case
KAITHAL, Sept 3 — A local lawyer, Mr Ishwar Singh Mehla, who had allegedly attacked the Judicial Magistrate, Ms Shalini Singh, with a knife in her courtroom and later threatened the Additional Sessions Judge, Mr R.C. Bansal, on telephone on September 2 was arrested by the police today. He was produced in the court of Mr N.P. Dewet, who remanded him in judicial custody till September 19.
