NEW DELHI, Oct 4 — The line of diagnosis adopted by Indraprastha Apollo Hospital here did not cover former Union Power Minister, P.R. Kumaramangalam’s immune status on account of intermittent treatment and non-specific general clinical presentation, according to the findings of the inquiry committee of medical experts appointed by the government to probe all aspects of treatment provided to him at the aforesaid hospital.

CBI files FIR against Bibi
CHANDIGARH, Oct 4 — The writ petition alleging police inaction in a case pertaining to the death of SGPC chief Bibi Jagir Kaur’s daughter, Harpreet Kaur, was today disposed of by the Punjab and Haryana High Court after the Standing Counsel for the CBI stated that a first information report had been registered against Bibi and others.

Bathinda refinery: nod to HPCL
NEW DELHI, Oct 4 — The Punjab refinery at Bathinda will eventually see the light of the day with the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today permitting Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to execute the project on its own without a joint venture.

22 taken ill after eating ‘kuttu’ flour
KURUKSHETRA, Oct 4 — At least 22 persons were taken to the civil hospital and private nursing homes in Shahabad (Markanda), 25 km from here, today following symptoms of food poisoning after they had eaten preparations made of “kuttu” flour.
