Neurosurgeon quits DMCH
Our Correspondent

Ludhiana, October 2
Dr M.K.Sobti, a city based neurosurgeon and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, today resigned after working for over 10 years in the DMCH. Talking to mediapersons here yesterday, Dr Sobti claimed that he had performed over 3000 major surgeries which included the surgery of a police officer, who had a bullet injury in his head and remained unconscious for over a month.

Dr Sobti said: “I could not provide personal touch to the patients at the hospital. Patients would come and go, proper care could not be given to them. Keeping this in mind, I have started a 50-bed neuro trauma centre in which I will be able to interact with my patients directly”.

Dr Sobti said that the new hospital would be inaugurated on October 14 and would include the super-specialities of neuro surgery, micro vascular surgery, plastic and cosmetic surgery, ortho surgery, urology and cardiology.
