Workshop on cerebral resuscitation
Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, October 9
A 10-day workshop on “Cardio-pulmonary cerebral resuscitation” was organised by the Nursing Department of the PGI at the Nehru Hospital. A spokesman of the PGI said the workshop was funded by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The main aim of the workshop , the spokesman said, was to bridge the gap between the knowledge and practice. Cardiac arrest is a situation which the nurses would not only encounter in the hospital but anywhere at any place and at any time where sophisticated equipments such as defibrillators, ambu bags and ventilators are not available. That is where the presence of mind and knowledge and practice works.

The workshop was started with an informal inauguration where the Chief Coordinator, Ms Daroj Parwez, Chief Nursing Officer, and five resource persons of the workshop interacted with the participants.
