Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departures: They were apprecialbly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in Punjab.

The higest temperature in the region was 41.8° C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 17.0° C recorded at Narnaul (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 12: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and south Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
