Rain in east Rajasthan New Delhi, October 12 Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.2°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan). Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 18.4°C recorded at
Amritsar(Punjab) and Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh). Forecast valid until the morning of October 14: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in
