shot in encounters Jammu, October 13 Police reports said six terrorists were killed while they were trying to cross back into Pakistan in Poonch Sector. The report said Indian troops spotted the movement on the LoC. They ordered the intruders to halt, but they opened fire. In the retaliatory action by the troops, all six militants were killed on the spot. In two separate encounters the security forces killed three militants in Doda district. Large quantities of arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants. Srinagar: In the first major offensive in Srinagar after the October 1 strike on Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, militants today launched a grenade attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camps at Tagore Hall and Indoor Stadium in the city, official sources said. Three rifle grenades fired in quick succession exploded in the two heavily guarded complexes, but caused no casualty. Some vehicles were slightly damaged as these were hit by flying shrapnels inside the stadium. Immediately after the grenades landed in the area, CRPF personnel fired several rounds in the air in self-defence, the sources said.
