Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Rajasthan: Jaipur 4 and Barmer 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Haryana and Rajasthan, rose in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Uttaranchal, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperatures in the region was 38.0 C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperatures in the plains was 16.0 C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 15th: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in south Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
