JALALABAD: One-year-old Azizullah lies in the arms of his uncle Ahmanzai at the hospital in the city of Jalalabad, Afghanistan,
on Oct. 14, 2001. They were allegedly wounded in the village of Karam, some 50 km west of
Jalalabad, during a US air attack. According to the Taliban government, who
organised a visit to the village by foreign journalists, around 200 civilians were killed in Karam on Thursday, during a
US air attack.
