New Delhi, October 19
Music and dance during the two-day Qutab festival, which starts in the Capital tomorrow, will set the tone for the beginning of the festive season.

Set in the backdrop of the 12th century monument, renowned singers and dancers from different musical traditions will give performances.

At present when terrorism has engulfed the world , the Qutab festival with its theme of peace and love will attempt to bridge the gap between the traditional and popular cultural idioms, the DTTDC said.

Noted classical singer Shubha Mudgal lifts the spirits of the audience on the opening day by presenting her own compositions and others by mystic poets of the Sufi tradition.

Daksha Sheth, dancer and choreographer of the contemporary Indian dance, will present a fusion of traditional and contemporary dance. She will choreograph a new dance form.
