UXGA: Short for
Ultra Extended Graphics Array, a display specification that is capable
of displaying 1600 x 1200 resolution, or approximately 1.9 million
pixels.
SXGA: Short for
Super Extended Graphics Array, a display specification that is capable
of displaying 1280 x 1024 resolution, or approximately 1.3 million
pixels.
NOC: Short for
network operations centre, the physical space from which a typically
large telecommunications network is managed, monitored and supervised.
The NOC coordinates network troubles, provides problem management and
router configuration services, manages network changes, allocates and
manages domain names and IP addresses, monitors routers, switches, hubs
and UPS systems that keep the network operating smoothly, manages the
distribution and updating of software and coordinates with affiliated
networks. NOCs also provide network accessibility to users connecting to
the network from outside of the physical office space or campus.
