Rocket attack on Army camp Srinagar, October 30 Three jawans were injured and unidentified gunmen looted Rs 1,50,000 from a bank during the period in the valley. Official sources said that militants fired at least six rockets at the Army camp at Dolipora Trehgam in the Kupwara district late last night. The sources said one of the rockets fell inside the camp, damaging a barrack. However, no one was injured, they said, adding that the other rockets exploded in the open without causing any damage. However, a handout issued by the police headquarters this evening said two houses were damaged and a civilian injured as one of the rockets fell on them. A vehicle belonging to the security forces caught fire after a blast at Magarmal Bagh, near here, this afternoon causing injuries to its driver — constable Ghulam Mohammad — and two pedestrians. A security force search party was attacked by militants at Rasoo village in the central Kashmir district of Badgam in the wee hours today. In the ensuing encounter, a soldier lost his life and three others were injured. One villager also died in the shootout. The sources said the security forces gunned down two Pakistani infiltrators immediately after they entered the Indian territory from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) last night in Machil sector at Nowshernar. Three militants were also killed by the security forces in an encounter at Rangwar while two more militants were gunned down in two encounters in Kupwara district. One jawan also lost his life in the Rangwar shootout. Militants shot dead a woman, Parveena, at the Gousia colony while unidentified gunmen entered the house of Atta Ullah Khan and shot him dead at Behrote in Poonch district last night. The security forces killed four militants at Hill Kaka in Surankote sector of Poonch district this afternoon. A large cache of arms
and ammunition was also recovered from the slain militants, believed to be foreigners. The
sources said unidentified gunmen looted Rs 1,50,000 from Central Cooperative Bank at Chitargam Shopian at gunpoint this afternoon. A report from Jammu said a Major was among four security personnel injured when militants triggered an improvised explosive device along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Pallanwala area of Jammu last night.
