Once upon a time, There stood a castle alone, Its inhabitants were unknown. But they say one could hear, At the stroke of midnight, Shrill cries full of fear and fright. It loomed even worse under the ugly moonlight. They say it was haunted, And the door was ever closed. A shadow was once seen, Through the window screen. Could he be the owner Or... probably a ghost ? They say its all over now Yet does that shadow still stay there ? Its still a mystery. So beware! — Bikramjit Singh,

I am a school-going girl I keep searching for happiness Yet, I do not know what happiness is Here and there I looked for happiness Everywhere I looked for happiness Nowhere could I find it Will you tell me where it lives ? I tried to find it on earth Happiness ran away from me I tried to find it in the sky Happiness flew away from me. I am a school going girl I do not know what happiness is Will you tell me where it lives ? — Saba Singh, Class X,
