Shivalik School boys triumph Chandigarh, November 11 The tournament was organised by Justice M.M Kumar, Punjab and Haryana High Court. In all 25 teams from various schools and colleges took part in the championship. As many as 36 individuals also took part. Results : girls (8-12 yrs)—Government Girls Senior Secondary School-20, first; GMSSS-21, second; SPS-41, third. Women: 25-40 yrs: Individual: Ravinder, first; Ritu, second; Santosh Kumari, third. Boys: 8-14 yrs: SPS-41, first; GGHS-25, second; GMSSS-21, third. Individual: Parshant (SPS-41) first; Kuldeep Singh and Pawan Kumar (GGH-25 and GMSSS-21) second; Hemant Kumar (GMSSS-21) and Nakul (SPS-41) third. Boys:14-20 yrs; GGHS-25, first; SDC-32, second; YCM Public school, Panchkula, third. Individual: Munish Kumar first; Paras Arora second; Lalit Kumar third. Individual: Kamal Grover first; Harish Kumar second; Sandeep Sharma third. High Court XI beaten Bedi Cricket club outplayed High Court XI by 44 runs in the VIIth Jal Cup league cricket tournament played here today at DAV College grounds. In another match of the day, Khalsa cricket club got the better of Mohali Gymkhana XI by five wickets. Cricket tourney A deadly spell by Kamal Mehra who claimed four wickets for just 12 runs enabled Panther Cricket Club in beating Seventeen CC by eight runs in the fourth invitational league- cum-cricket tournament played here today at Army grounds. |
Four parking lots inaugurated Chandigarh, November 11 The CHB will be developing parking lots on about 2.70-lakh-square foot of land in the centre. This was stated in an official press note of the board. Parking space in the centre is expected to be doubled by December. Additional storm water gullies and parking area lights have been completed by the CHB. |
