GLITZ & GLAMOUR
Yet another teaser plays father against lover

The much-touted film Deewaanapan starring Diya Mirza and Arjun Rampal is all set to hit cinema halls in the country. A Vashu Bhagnani production it seems to be an extension of the age-old teaser, where you are asked to choose between the father and the lover. It is the story of a doting father, Vinod Khanna, who dreams the most splendid dreams for his beautiful and “innocent” daughter, Diya Mirza. But the daughter falls for the charms of a not-so- rich-therefore-not-eligible hunk, Arjun Rampal. The rest of the film revolves around the tussle between the man who taught her (Diya) how to love and the man she was born loving. Arjun, after his debut in Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohhabat, is being closely watched for the signs of the next screen idol.

As for Diya, the leading lady of the film, industry watchers are waiting for her second release to be able to slot her in the industry's number game. The film, which banks on its star cast, says it all when it proclaims, “Beware of madness that has method in it…”
