Cyber crackers and offline fireworks: What a Divali that was!

Hello Kids! Welcome to our weekly kids chat.

Cliparti: Hey guys how was your Divali.

Windy: It was great. We had a very nice time burning crackers, eating sweets and visiting our friends and relatives. What about you, Fluppy?

Fluppy: I also had a great time burning crackers. However, I strictly followed Cliparti's advice of not burning too much crackers.

Windy: Yeah and I guess your neighbour's too.

Cliparti: That's right, Windy.

Fluppy: How did you celebrate this Divali, Cliparti?

Cliparti: As I told you last week, I spent most of my week decorating and cleaning my house and did a lot of shopping.

Windy: That's very common with girls.

Fluppy: So you did not burst crackers?

Cliparti: I burst lots and lots of crackers.

Fluppy
: But you only asked me not to burst too many crackers.

Cliparti: Dear Fluppy, I burst "lots and lots" of crackers in the cyber world but in the real world I burst only the firework.

Fluppy: That's brilliant. That must have saved you a lot of pocket money.

Cliaprti: Yeah indeed, it saved a lot of pocket money and besides that I enjoyed it also. Do you know Fluppy, there are sites on the Internet, on which you can burst a cracker, as you would do in real life and the cracker explodes and creates the sound like a real cracker.

Fluppy: You mean it really explodes and creates that impact.

Cliparti: Yeah! But I will tell you of this site only on next Divali.

Windy: Poor Fluppy! Had he known of this site before then he would have exploded his father's computer.

Fluppy: Huhh. Not the computer Windy, only the crackers or did you explode the computer instead of the cracker.

Windy: Hey, come on you little stupid. I know how these crackers explode. I was just putting your knowledge to test.

Cliparti: Hey guys! Why do you start fighting every now and then? Fluppy understands that explosion is as virtual as the virtual world itself and it only creates an audiovisual impact and does not involve any kind of fire.

Fluppy: Then you can call it eco-friendly crackers too. Isn't it Cliparti?

Cliparti: Yeah indeed.

Windy: Hey Fluppy, you can adjust the volume also to increase or decrease the sound.

Fluppy: That's a good idea to make my friends jealous.

Windy: Yeah! And to make your neighbour's restless.

Cliparti: That's a good joke, Windy.

Windy: Ha! Ha! Ha

Fluppy: Huh

Cliparti: Hey Fluppy! You are not looking all that cheerful today as you were last week. Is everything well with you?

Fluppy: Yeah! I am OK.

Windy: Then why are you looking so low?

Fluppy: Nothing much, I am sad because the festival is over and now the schools will be opened and the next holidays i.e. the Christmas holidays are also quite far.

Cliparti: So what, Fluppy. Holidays are not permanent and it comes to refresh you from your regular life. If holidays were permanent then you will lose the charm of it.

Windy: Cliparti is right, dear Fluppy and now its time to get back to our regular life and let's go back to our school and enjoy the regular life.

Cliparti: That's right. In fact, after so many days of holidays, I am missing my school very much and I would be happy to be with my friends again and chat with them about their celebrations.

Fluppy: I too will be happy to be back in school but I love holidays more. Moreover, I am bored of same regular routine and lots and lots of homework.

Cliparti: Have you not finished your homework, Fluppy?

Fluppy: There was no homework for this holiday. But since now the tough study season will start and there will be lot of homework to do.

Windy: Hey come on! Next week we will discuss the Homework help and other useful sites that will help you a lot in studying, while this week I will tell you of only one site, www.jiskha.com. Explore this site and tell me next week how did you like it. Till then, good-bye and enjoy.
