Attack on Army camp; JCO killed Srinagar, November 22 Three militants, including a Pakistani national identified as Abu Talib, were killed in two encounters with security forces at Khanater and Lower Tipper in the border district of Poonch last night, the spokesman said, adding that a security personnel was also injured in the shootout. the An Army jawan also lost his life in the encounter, he added. Elsewhere, a JCO was killed in an encounter with ultras at Boniwatsar in Kupwara district last night, the spokesman said. Later, a search of the area led to the smashing of a hideout from where an AK assault rifle, four magazines with 100 rounds, an under-barrel grenade launcher and a grenade were recovered. Meanwhile, militants shot dead a 16-year-old girl, Gulshan Akhter, inside her house at Palapora in Baramula early today, the spokesman said. Another teenaged girl, identified as Hina, was killed by militants at Arampora locality in downtown Srinagar while she was returning home last evening, he said. The motive behind the two killings was not known immediately, the spokesman said, adding that no militant outfit has owned responsibility for the murders. BARAMULA: Pakistani troops continued to shell the Northern Sector, damaging two houses in Uri. Official sources said Pakistani troops were targeting civilian areas and security force installations in the sector with artillery and mortar shells. The latest round of shelling damaged the houses, the sources added.
