PU football meet

Ludhiana, November 23
The defending champions, Guru Hargobind Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, have won the Panjab University women football title for the second successive year.

The team defeated Government Girls College, Sector 11, Chandigarh, 4-0, and the Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, 5-0, while their match with Khalsa College, Chabbewal, ended in a draw (1-1). They secured the top position in the league-base championship.

On the basis of their performance, seven players of the college team, including Baljeet, Ranjeet, Hardeep, Sukhjeet, Harkamaljit, Karamjit and Taranjit, have been selected for the PU women football camp. During the camp, PU women football team will be selected which will take part in the All-India Inter-Varsity Women Football Championship scheduled to begin from December 12 at Gwalior.
