President, PM greet people on Gurpurab

President K.R. Narayanan and Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has greeted the nation on Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary tomorrow.

“On the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev, let us resolve to follow the path of truth and compassion and reiterate our faith in his teachings of tolerance and universal brotherhood”, Mr Narayanan said in a message on the eve of the anniversary.

Mr Vajpayee said: “We remember the apostle of peace and compassion — Guru Nanak Dev— whose teachings continue to guide us towards the right path and enlightenment”. UNI
