WELCOME back friends to our weekly Kids chat.

Cliparti: Hi friends! Hope you had a nice week

Fluppy: It was indeed nice, Cliparti as our school had a sports meet.

Cliparti: Wow that's great. Is it a coincidence or were they planned along with the national games being held in Punjab?

Fluppy: No it's just a coincidence. But for us the fun was double as that way we had two sporting events going around us.

Windy: It was triple fun as the test cricket in South Africa was also on. So, basically it was more or less a sports week.

Cliparti: Yeah that's right Windy.

Windy: Though it is needless to ask, but for the information of our friends did you win any medal or did you have to be content with just the consolation prize.

Fluppy: Huh! Hey Windy, why do you always compare yourself with me? I am not a dullard like you. Like every time, this time also I won several medals in sport meet.

Windy: Oh really! Then it must be for best linesman, or best drill.

Fluppy: Hey these are your areas of specialisation and why are you naming them for me.

Cliparti: Ok Guys! Stop fighting and lets move ahead with our weekly chat.

Windy: Oh yeah sure.

Cliparti: So, Windy, how was your week.

Windy: I spent most of my time studying and preparing for exams. I also found some interesting sites for our friends. One useful site on Chemistry is http://biochemlinks.com. This site is though general, but has a lot of interesting material on chemistry, biology, biotechnology etc. You can also go through the quizzes to test your knowledge of the subject.

Cliparti: That's very interesting. Does it only have quizzes.

Windy: No Cliparti, it has a lot of articles and reference materials and lots of other stuff, which can be used for studying the subject and also in the projects.

Cliparti: That's interesting. I also have a useful site, this is www.multnomah.lib.or.us/lib/homework. This is actually a huge site and covers a lot of subjects. You can click on any subject of your choice and can browse through a huge library of links. Thus in a way you can find hundreds of sites categorised under various subjects. Some of the useful subjects listed on this site are Arts, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computers, Geography, History, mathematics, science etc. It also has a separate kids section, where you can find a lot of other interesting stuff for the kids, such as games, Jokes, crafts, magazines, homework centre etc. On the whole it's a useful site for all of us.

Fluppy: Wow that's huge and interesting.

Windy: Hey Fluppy! Were you busy in sports only or you also have something for our friends.

Fluppy: You guys have been talking quite educational stuff. However, I have some really interesting stuff for our friends. This site is www.factmonster.com. It's an interesting site, where you can find stuff like Atlas, Almanac, Dictionary, Encyclopaedia etc. On this site you can also access the world news, and a lot of other interesting information. And for all you studious guys there are separate sections for Science and Maths etc. However, the information on this site is not as large as you guys have mentioned.

Cliparti: That's a nice site too.

Windy: Yeah, may be good for kids like Fluppy.

Fluppy: Okay, so tells see how good this site could be for you. Let me ask you a simple questions Windy, the answers to which are available on this site. On which topic shall I ask you questions?

Windy: Choice is yours.

Fluppy: No I will give you this privilege.

Windy: Ok ask me about our Country India

Fluppy: Which is the largest city of India.

Windy: Ummm… Is it Delhi?

Fluppy: Big Zero. Go and search the encyclopaedia on this site for the answer.

Windy: That's snobbish of you Fluppy, you are behaving as if you know everything about the country.

Fluppy: I never said I know everything. I have learnt all this from this site only. What I intended to say was that knowledge has no limit and you gain as much you explore.
