SAD-BJP govt accused of corruption, nepotism

The Sarb Hind Shiromani Youth Akali Dal (SHSYAD) has charged the SAD-BJP government with complete failure to get pending demands of Punjab settled during a period of almost five years, even though the ruling SAD remained a constituent of the NDA combine in the Centre.
Tohra joins issue with Vedanti

'Say no to Shahtoosh'
Ludhiana, December 5
Opposing the wearing of Shahtoosh shawls, which are prepared from the wool of an endangered animal called 'Chiru', also known as theTibetan Antelope, the Wildlife Trust of India has stated that those who manufactured such shawls misled people by saying that they collected the wool shed by the animal when it grazes amid bushes and rocks in hilly areas.

hold rally on December 8

In pursuance to the decision of the Congress high command to hold assembly segment-wise rallies to prepare the ground for the ensuing elections, the District Congress Committee (Urban) today decided to hold the first such rally in Basti Jodhewal, falling in the Ludhiana North Assembly constituency in the city on December 8.
