Irrigation officials ‘fudging’ muster-rolls

The Haryana Government has been suffering a huge financial loss due to the preparation of bogus muster-rolls allegedly by officials of the Rai Water Service Division and the Samalkha Sub-Division of the Irrigation Department. The matter came to light in the recent weekly darbar held by the sub-divisional magistrate of Ganaur, Mr Jeet Singh Mehra, when several labourers complained about the non-payment of wages.

The paddy growers of Sonepat district, particularly at Ganaur mandi, are worried over the extremely small quantity of procurements of their produce by the official agencies. 27 govt creches in Rohtak district
