Russia to launch Pak satellite
Moscow, December 10
Russia is all set to launch the first Pakistani mini-satellite ‘BADR-B’ tonight from its Baikonur space station in Kazakhstan. ‘BADR-B’ would piggyback-ride Russian Meteor-3M weather satellite bundled with two Russian and a Moroccan-German mini-satellites with the help of Russian-Ukrainian ‘zenit-2’ launch vehicle. PWG Naxals blow up telephone exchange
Hyderabad, December 10
Naxalites of outlawed PWG yesterday looted a rice mill and blew up a forest guards quarter and a telephone exchange while a huge cache of explosives was unearthed by the police today. Acting on a tip-off, the police today raided a hideout of the PWG on the outskirts of Gokul Thanda in Nizamabad district and seized about 1,000 gelatin sticks, directional claymore mines prepared with thick iron sheets, 30 electrical detonators besides revolutionary literature and 15 cassettes.
