APHC, JKLF for inquiry into attack

Srinagar, December 13
The All Party Hurriyat Conference has condemned the attack on Parliament and demanded an inquiry “to expose forces and people behind such a heinous act.”

The APHC spokesman said, “Whenever there are talks of peace and security, some incident take place which leads to the loss of human lives leading to temporary halt in the peace process.”

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief, Mr Yasin Malik, has condemned the suicide attack on Parliament this morning.

Talking to UNI on telephone, he said “We condemn the attack on Parliament and demand an impartial inquiry on the matter.”

Mr Malik, who returned recently after undergoing a heart surgery in the USA, said the perpetrators of the attack should be brought to justice.

The Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party President, Prof Bhim Singh, has also condemned the attack on Parliament and has urged the Prime Minister, Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee, to declare this as “an act of war”.

Prof Bhim Singh said, “I have urged the Prime Minister to declare this barbaric act as an act of war in the same manner as US President George W. Bush declared the September 11 attack on the World Trade Centre (WTC) and the Pentagon as acts of war.”

This is an attack on every individual of the country,” he said.
