Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The amount of precipitation (in cms) in Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 2 and Srinagar 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Uttaranchal, rose in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in west Uttar Pradesh.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.6°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 16: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 16: Partly cloudy sky with chance of thundery development in some areas. Fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 9°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of December 16: Development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.

Earthquake report: An earthquake of slight intensity having its mangitude 4.1 on the richter scale occurred at 8.30 p.m. on December 12 with its epicentre at latitude 23.8N, longitude 70.2E in Rann of Kuchchh (Gujarat) region.
