Pak shelling unabated along LoC
Jammu, December 15

Pakistani troops resorted to mortar shelling and heavy small arms firing on Indian positions along the Line of Control in several areas of Ladakh and Jammu-Poonch sectors of Jammu and Kashmir last night, official sources said today. The Indian troops guarding Indo-Pak border returned the fire and the exchange of fire continued till this afternoon, the sources said.

Qureshi gets bail in hijack case
Srinagar, December 15

A Sessions Court here today granted interim bail to the hijacker of an Indian Airlines plane, Hashim Qureshi, who heads the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Liberation Party.

Pak shelling unabated along LoC

Jammu, December 15
Pakistani troops resorted to mortar shelling and heavy small arms firing on Indian positions along the Line of Control (LoC) in several areas of Ladakh and Jammu-Poonch sectors of Jammu and Kashmir last night, official sources said today.

The Indian troops guarding Indo-Pak border returned the fire and the exchange of fire continued till this afternoon, the sources said.

There was no loss of life or damage to property in the Pakistani shelling and firing, they said.

There were no reports available about the loss of life or damage on the Pakistan side, they said.

Pakistani troops had been resorting to mortar shelling and heavy small arms firing on defence locations and some civilian areas in Chorbatla, Turtuk, Drass, Muskoh Valley and central and southern Siachen Glacier in Ladakh sector and the Kerni, Laam, Noushera, Ghambir Moghala, Mendhar, Pallanwala, Krishnagati and Bhimber Gali areas of Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch sector since last evening, they said.

Pakistani saboteurs triggered 34 IED explosions along the international border (IB) on zero line in R.S. Pura of Jammu frontier last night, sources said.

However, no casualty was reported, they said.

With this, a total of 64 blasts have rocked the IB since Thursday. Pakistani agents had planted 34 IEDs in the Pindi-Pittal area in Ranbir Singh Pura on Zero line along IB in Jammu district. PTI

Qureshi gets bail in hijack case

Srinagar, December 15
A Sessions Court here today granted interim bail to the hijacker of an Indian Airlines plane, Hashim Qureshi, who heads the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Liberation Party.

Granting him bail till March 31 on health grounds, Principal Sessions Judge Syed Bashir Ahmad Kirmani directed him to execute a personal bond of Rs 50,000.

The court directed Qureshi not to leave the state without its permission during the bail period. PTI
