New Delhi, December 28
The Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) has urged the Delhi Government to increase the number of U-specials to reduce the commuting woes of students. It also sought the establishment of additional bus pass counters on the campus. “We have presented our demands to the Tourism and Transport Minister, Mr Ajay Maken, and he has assured us that he would look into the matter personally and see that they are addressed at the earliest,” DUSU secretary Rohit Chaudhary said. The CNG crisis has had its ramifications on the campus with the number of buses being made available for the university has been reduced. Moreover, there is only one computerised bus pass counter in the North Campus. Delivering an address at a meeting organised by the National Students Union of India , the minister urged the student to strive for higher moral values.
