I am no poet, neither am I a philosopher. I am but a student striving to secure a promising future for myself. I have a lust for life and like to put down my feelings in words which come from the depths of my heart. So, what follows is my paean to the beauty of life. When God made this earth, he made it green with lush forests, cool air and beautiful creatures. Then, one fine day, God sent a creature with certain powers who started life as we understand it today. Life, in all its forms, should be cherished. Unfortunately, we now live in times when life is no longer precious. We, the next generation, are faced with a task as huge as Mother Earth itself. This task is to ensure that the beauty of life does not lose its charm. This task is of utmost importance, and even though it is huge, it is necessary for the survival of not only mankind but of life itself. God did not make this earth to see us destroy it. He wants his sons and daughters to live in peace and harmony. The Almighty should be referred to as God alone and not as the founder of some religion or the other. Religions are meant to spread the teachings of God to all and God never teaches bloodshed, for all the people on earth are, after all, his children. The Lord’s creation was a beautiful world, a place where he put creatures to appreciate and value the beauty of life. We, the human species, should never forget that we are just one of the 1.7 million species of life on this earth. They also constitute life. Only one out of the 1.7 million cannot and has absolutely no right to decide the fate of the rest. Life is precious, life is a joy, life
is a gift and gifts are not meant to be destroyed but to be cherished to
their last particle, or scientifically speaking, to their last atom. |
