Dreaming of letters and parcels

ALTHOUGH phone calls and e-mails are commonly used these days, yet they cannot match the pleasure of receiving a letter or of reading and re-reading one. Although the wait for a postman and the feeling of disappointment at not receiving a letter is irksome, yet people who belong to the older generation eagerly wait for a letter every day in the hope of getting some news of their loved ones.

According to Indian thought, to receive or send a letter is a lucky omen. If you see yourself sending a letter to someone it means that you shall soon finish a praiseworthy project. You shall play a vital role in the welfare of others and participate in social activities. If you see yourself receiving a letter, it indicates that you shall soon receive a gift. It could also mean that you shall receive good news about a distant relative. Should you receive a parcel in your dreams then it foretells that your fate shall shine. Should you dream that you are carrying a parcel through dirty streets then this dream portends a loss.

As per western philosophy, to dream of a registered letter foretells that money matters will disrupt long-established relationships.
