Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana and Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana and Uttaranchal and normal in Uttar Pradesh.

The highest temperature in the region was 40.4°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Punjab and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 13.2°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 1: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 1: Mainly clear sky. Increase of cloudiness likely towards tomorrow evening. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 36°C and 19°C, respectively.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of April 1: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Light rain likely.
