 In a major boost to India’s stand on the Kashmir issue, the Turkish
        government has made it known that it is in favour of a resolution of the
        Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan on the basis of the Simla
        agreement.

 The police today claimed to have achieved a major success with the
        killing of a top militant of the Jaish-e-Mohammad in an encounter here
        last night and busting of 12 hideouts and arrest of 11 workers of the
        outfit. Identified as Nasir Mehmood Ahwan, alias Ansaar, the militant
        was killed in a two-hour encounter at Dana Mazar in Safakdal last night.
