Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Punjab and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6°C recorded at Amritsar.
Forecast valid until the morning of December 14: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan and at isolated places in south Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in east Uttar Pradesh.
