Name change EDS has announced its PLM Solutions business has changed its name to UGS PLM Solutions. UGS PLM Solutions expects its new name and logo will start appearing in marketing collateral and other vehicles in the coming weeks. UGS PLM Solutions is a leader in product lifecycle management (PLM) software and related services, with approximately 41,000 clients. In 2002, UGS PLM Solutions reported $ 879 million in revenue and $ 138 million in operating profit. StorageTek StorageTek, a storage services and solutions company, has announced the availability of five additional disk systems in India, the latest in a line of online storage solutions designed to reduce the financial impact of escalating storage demands. The D-series products are aimed at entry-level, mid-tier workgroups and large enterprises. All StorageTek’s D-Series subsystems provide modular scalability for performance and capacity, enabling customers to change controllers or storage through the course of ownership without the fear of obsolescence. in India its Rugged Tablet PC and Portable Digital X-Ray Unit,
respectively. While the Rugged Tablet PC is priced in the range of Rs 3
lakh, the Portable Digital X-Ray Unit will be priced approximately at Rs
17 lakh. |
