Rainfall:
Rain or snow has occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir and at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh.

Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Batote 5 and Quazigund 3 and Uttaranchal:Tehri 1, Snowfall reports (cms): Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 16 and Patsio 9. Banihal (Jammu and Kahsmir) reported hailstorm.

Temperatures past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana and Punjab, fell in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were largely above normal in east Rajasthan, appriciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in Himachal Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.5°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 16: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 16: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development in some areas. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 10°C.
