Kuldeep Rawat shines for Delhi

A brilliant all-round display by Kuldeep Rawat, who scored a century and then claimed 4 for 45, helped Delhi draw with Haryana in the Board of Control for Cricket in India Under-22 Trophy at the Jamia Milia ground.

Scores: Delhi (1st innings): 338 all out in 101.5 overs (Kuldeep Rawat 127, 11x4; Kunal Sethi 64 n o, 4x4; Nitin Aggarwal 5 for 82, Sandeep Kharab 3 for 75).

Second innings: 66 for 2 in 27 overs (Farman Ahmad 38 n o, Kunal Sethi 20 n o).

Haryana (1st innings): 257 in 106 overs (Vishal Sahni 50, Kamal Sheel Baniwal 76, 8x4, Deepak Joon 47, Kuldeep Rawat 4 for 45, Vivek Khurana 3 for 50).

Delhi earned two points from the match while Haryana got none.

Kishan Ganj Colts win in DDCA League

Kishan Ganj Colts defeated Rajender Nagar Colts by six wickets in an A-I division match of the DDCA League at the Mohan Meakin ground.

Scores: R N Colts: 120 for 9 in 40 overs (Ankit Lamba 23, Puneet Gupta 3 for 8, Digvijay Prasad 2 for 19).

Malviya Club defeated Little Masters by seven wickets in a Super A Division match at the Palam II ground.

National Stadium draw with NCF

National Stadium Cricket Club and Dronacharya Cricket Foundation (DCF) were locked in a draw in the Aviva Young Achiever (Under-13) Two-Day Cricket Tournament at the Yamuna Sports Complex ground. Both the teams could play only one innings each due to rain.National Stadium got five points while DCF earned three.

Scores: National Stadium: 202 for 8 (Savinay Chaudhary 44, Gandharva Mehndi Ratta 40, Shashank Chopra 2 for 59, Piyush Khera 2 for 62).

DCF: 118 for 5 in 50 overs (Shashank Chopra 59, Sourav Kumar 4 for 33).

Rodney Charles, Joginder star in Eventus Cup

A deadly spell of 3 for 11 by Joginder Seghal and a scintillating unbeaten 70 (48b, 4x8, 6x3) by Rodney Charles helped GE Capital defeat Bharti Infotel by eight wickets and enter the final of the third Eventus Cup Cricket Tournament at the Palam ground.

Scores: Bharti Infotel: 133 for 9 in 25 overs (Vikas Gujral 48, Aashish Khanna 21, Joginder Sehgal 3 for 11, Pramod Bhasin 2 for 23).

ABN Amro win Pataudi Cup polo

ABN Amro Bank defeated Jaipur Polo Company (JPC) 9-5 in the Nawab of Bhopal and Pataudi Cup Polo Tournament at the Jaipur Polo ground. In another match, McDowell Signature defeated Jindal Steel and Power 7-4 1/2.

The scorers for ABN-Amro Bank were Omar Younes, Basheer Ali (six goals) and Uday Kalaan (two goals) while Karan Sharma, Raghav Raj Singh and Manupal Godara (three goals) scored for JPC.

Mickey Gupta (2), Angad Kalaan (2) and Adhiraj Singh (3) scored for Signature while Bajrang Singh got the goals for Jindal.

Dhaka to meet Aizawl in Subroto final

Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Prothisthan, Dhaka (Bangladesh) will take on defending champions Holy Heart School, Aizwal (Mizoram) in the under-14 final of the Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium on Saturday.

The kick-off will be at 2.15 pm. The Bangladesh School had beaten BRC (Danapur) Army Boys 2-1 while Holy Heart defeated Model School, Chandigarh 7-6 via the tie-breaker.

Abijit Dey put the Army Boys in the lead but Bangladesh pulled off the equaliser through Rony. Sabbir Mahmuel scored a goal from zero angle to fetch the match-winner.

Oxford High School, Aizawl will take on Govt High School, Tamaloo (Carnicobar) in the Under-17 final on Sunday at 2.15 pm.

Frank Anthony lift title

An all-round display by Aditya Saini (3 for 4 and 74 n o) helped Frank Anthony Public School, Lajpat Nagar defeat St. Columba’s School by nine wickets in the final of the Frank Anthony Inter-School Cricket Tournament at the Frank Anthony School ground.

Ankit Kaiyastha of St. Columba’s school was adjudged the best batsman of the tournament while Aditya Saini of Frank Anthony School got the best bowler award. Aman Verman of Frank Anthony was declared the man of the tournament. Frank Anthony school principal Stephan Dacosta gave away the prizes.

Scores: St. Columba’s: 145 for 8 in 20 overs (Shivam Gupta 64, Ankit Kaiyastha 38, Vijay Pandit 3 for 17, Aditya Saini 3 for 4).
