The second audio tape of conversation between Surinder Mohan Katwal, a former Chairman of the HPSSSB and some politicians was presented before mediapersons here today. Mr Katwal said the contents which were being mentioned by the media were part of the audio tape which he gave to the then Home Secretary Arvind Kaul and the present Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh.
This tape, which was presented here late this evening contains conversation of Ms Chandresh Kumari, the state Health Minister. In this conversation, Ms Chandresh Kumari, asked favour for the appointment of one Kuldip Kumar for the post of Panchayat Secretary and provided the roll number of the said candidate. The second conversation is between the ADC to the then Governor, Dr Suraj Bhan and Mr Katwal. The ADC told him that the Governor had asked him to ring him up for the selection of one Gita Saini for the post of JBT teacher.
Ms Chandresh Kumari said there was hardly any politician who did not make recommendations for selection of candidates but it was up to the selection authority to see the merit of the candidate for selection.
