Having fun with artificial snow flakes
Bipin Bhardwaj

Panchkula, December 20
Snowfall in the plains! It was a dream come true for newly wed couples and kids who had a gala time playing pranks and throwing snow-balls on one another at Funcity on the Panchkula-Naraingarh highway in Ramgarh village, near here, today.

A large number of kids and newly weds enjoyed the ice-games as special machines created snow flakes artificially.

The ice games not only attracted residents of Chandigarh and its satellite towns but also visitors from parts of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

The main features of the ice games are a snow dancing floor, a sledge ride down an icyslope, Sloopy icy mountains and snow blizzard.

Newly wed couples had an exciting time sledging down the icy slopes. The couples were also seen enjoying the artificial snowfall and dancing to the tune of English and Punjabi pop numbers. The snow flakes showerd down on the visitors from a special machine.

In the snow blizzard section thermocol dust was blown with the help of a fan, giving the visitor a feeling of fresh snowfall. The parents had a tough time controlling their children from playing with this artificial snow.

Mrs Bhupinder Prashar, Manager Events, said a seven-day event will be organised at Funcity from Christmas Eve till the New Year’s eve.Back
