The Chandigarh Police today gave Mayor Subhash Chawla a “clean chit” in the Chandigarh Club episode, nearly six months after the incident took place. Mr Chawla leaves office on January 1.

3 sustain burns in factory fire
Mohali, December 26
Three workers sustained severe burns in a fire that took place at a factory here last night. Two of the victims were taken to the PGI with over 70 per cent burns. The third, who was admitted to the General Hospital, Chandigarh, last night, was discharged this morning.
