Annual sports meet at BVM School begins

Mandeep Singh and Rupali came out triumphant in the 100m race in the boys and girls sections (u-19), respectively, to emerge as the fastest runners in the 8th annual sports meet of the Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, which started at the Kitchlu Nagar branch ground here today.

Khanna school win inaugural match

A.S. Senior Secondary School, Khanna, registered 2-0 victory over Government Senior Secondary School, Kamalpura, in the inaugural match of the first Punjab Schools Football Tournament being organised by the Sutlej Football Club at Government Model Senior Secondary School of Punjab Agricultural University here today.
DC asked to fix criteria for school admission

With admission time for Nursery, LKG and UKG classes close at hand, the anxious parents are worried as no one knows what criteria is employed by the various schools for admission. Is it money, influence or whims of the school authorities? The president of the Ludhiana Action Committee, Mr Rakesh Verma and the secretary general, Mr Kimti Rawal, have sent a telegram to Mr Anurag Verma, Deputy Commissioner, requesting him to fix a criteria for admission.
