Appeal in Bakery case dismissed

Ahmedabad, December 26
The Gujarat High Court today dismissed the state government’s amended appeal in the Best Bakery carnage of Vadodara and confirmed a fast-track court’s acquittal of 21 persons. A Division Bench comprising Mr Justice B.J. Sethna and Justice J.R. Vora, dismissed the amended appeal challenging the acquittal and seeking re-trial in the case.

The Gujarat Government had filed the appeal following a directive from the Supreme Court. — PTI
