A US Air Force aircraft with 111
defence personnel on board made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi
International Airport here this afternoon after one of its engines
caught fire.

An 18-year-old Dalit boy, Sandeep Singh, alias Sonu, was today allegedly shot
on the premises of Government Senior Secondary School, Chhajjalwadi, by the Principal
at about 10 am today. The Principal, Harnek Singh, fled the scene after committing the crime.

Jammu, February 20
The government today announced
amnesty schemes for defaulters to liquidate arrears of electricity
and water tariff and toll in the zero deficit Budget for 2004-2005
presented by the Finance Minister, Mr Muzaffar Hussain Beig, in the
Assembly.
